Job Summary
The Backend Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend systems and APIs that support Cube Communications’ web and mobile applications. This role is essential for ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of our digital platforms.
The ideal candidate is technically skilled, detail-oriented, and enjoys collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Backend Development
Design, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, and databases.
Build secure, scalable, and high-performance server-side applications.
Integrate third-party APIs and external services.
Optimize application performance and database queries.
Security & Reliability
Implement authentication, authorization, and data security best practices.
Troubleshoot, debug, and maintain existing backend systems.
Collaboration & Documentation
Collaborate with frontend developers, designers, and product teams to deliver integrated solutions.
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
Requirements
Technical Skills
Proven experience as a Backend Developer or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of backend languages such as PHP, Node.js, Python, or Java.
Experience with RESTful APIs and server-side architecture.
Strong understanding of SQL / NoSQL databases.
Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.
Understanding of security best practices.
Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience with event platforms or large-scale systems.
Knowledge of Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
Experience with mobile app backend integrations.
Familiarity with microservices architecture.
