Role Overview
The Developer Advocate will be the technical evangelist for Strettch Cloud in Rwanda, responsible for:
Demonstrating platform capabilities
Creating content that engineers find genuinely useful
Engaging with the developer community online and in-person
Acting as the bridge between users and the engineering team
This is a highly technical and community-focused role suited for someone who can explain complex topics simply and enjoys creating demos, tutorials, and technical content.
Key Responsibilities
1. Showcase Platform Possibilities
Build & Demo: Develop real applications on Strettch Cloud and create short, engaging videos showing functionality.
Create Technical Content: Produce tutorials like “How to host a high-traffic app on Strettch Cloud” that engineers will use.
Video & Social Media: Create short-form videos (Reels, Shorts, TikTok style) and technical threads to engage audiences.
2. Expand Our Reach
Engage the Community: Interact with developers and engineering teams online and offline, including platforms like Twitter/X, LinkedIn, Discord, and Reddit.
Building in Public: Share the team’s journey, challenges, wins, and updates with transparency to build trust.
3. Internal Advocacy
User Feedback: Represent the voice of the user to the engineering team, reporting issues and opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications & Skills
Technical
Experience in Software Engineering, DevOps, or Cloud.
Strong understanding of Linux, APIs, cloud platforms, and internet architecture.
Content Creation & Communication
Comfortable creating tutorials, blogs, videos, or social media content.
Able to explain complex technical topics simply.
Energetic, proactive, and self-starting.
Personal Attributes
Curious and willing to experiment with new tools and frameworks.
Enjoys teaching, sharing knowledge, and engaging technical communities.
